Fresno Center for New Americans (FCNA)
FCNA’s objectives:
- Serving residents through a Neighborhood Employment Resource Center
- To provide employment preparation for Southeast Asian refugees
- To increase awareness of and access to public utilities, social services, acculturation programs, and community health education projects: including elderly services, dental education, and tobacco cessation and prevention.
Fresno West Coalition for Economic Development (FWCED)
FWCED’s objectives:
- To inform businesses and constituents in the west Fresno area of opportunities provided by the Empowerment Zone.
- To coordinate with a partner to facilitate the tax credit paperwork for EZ businesses.
- To develop micro enterprise as a means of generating sustainable businesses and rewarding jobs for residents.
- To leverage participation in the Regional Jobs Initiative to bring jobs from health, information centers, and agile manufacturing job sectors to West Fresno.
One by One Leadership (OBO)
OBO’s objectives:
- To develop an employable workforce
- To help children gain the foundation for life-long success
- To revitalize neighborhoods
- To use mentorship as a means of transforming lives
- To foster a spirit of philanthropy
